Project Description

The Land Development Agency (LDA) has acquired of a new site in Baldoyle in north Dublin, with existing planning permission for over 1,931 homes.

The Baldoyle development comprises 18-hectares of land with permission granted for delivery of permanent access to the train station, creche facilities, commercial units, new parks, transport facilities and other public infrastructure works to enhance community amenities.

This development will provide the community with Haggard Park, spanning 1.5 hectares, will feature a multi-use games area (MUGA), a skate park, a playground, a fitness area, and scenic walking trails, while additional pocket parks will enhance green spaces across the development.

Creches, commercial units, and a café will be provided, alongside improved pedestrian and cycle links. Permanent access to Clongriffin Station will be established, ensuring seamless connectivity, while the development will also facilitate a direct connection to the future FCC Racecourse Park. Additionally, key strategic utility upgrades will be delivered to support the surrounding community.

The site is located east of Clongriffin Station and near to existing housing in Stapolin and Baldoyle, located beside the Clongriffin train station, and the area is served by the M1 and the M50.

It is bounded by the Dublin to Belfast railway line to the west, Fingal County Council (FCC) parklands to the north and the planned Racecourse Park to the northeast, and has views of Ireland’s Eye, Howth and the Irish Sea.
