As stewards of public assets, public money and an important housing and development mandate, the LDA places the upmost importance on transparency. The LDA is subject to the full provisions of Freedom of Information requirements. As well as providing regular updates on its progress through press releases, social media, and engagement with public representatives and Oireachtas committees, the LDA has also taken voluntary steps towards increasing public information and awareness about the LDA through the publication of its board meeting minutes.
The LDA and all future subsidiaries are subject to the full provisions of the freedom of Information Act 2014. Requests under the act can be made at [email protected].
The LDA board convenes for comprehensive meetings approximately nine times per annum. The LDA publishes its minutes regularly. Board minutes are available at https://lda.ie/lda-board-meeting-minutes/. Redactions apply for commercially sensitive information and matters regarding GDPR.
Upon enactment of the LDA Bill, the LDA will be subject to audit by both the Comptroller and Auditor General and a Statutory Auditor. The LDA will also come under the remit of the Public Accounts Committee.
