Lissenhall | Swords. Co.Dublin
The 86-hectare Lissenhall site, located approximately 2km north of Swords town centre and west of the M1 motorway, represents a significant opportunity to deliver a new, sustainable community in north Dublin. Acquired by the Land Development Agency (LDA) from NAMA in October 2025, the site includes the proposed MetroLink Estuary terminus, providing the potential for excellent public transport connectivity to Dublin city centre and beyond.
The LDA is working closely with Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), the MetroLink project team and Fingal County Council to develop a long-term vision for the area. This will include the delivery of approximately 6,000 homes, supported by new commercial, community and social infrastructure, creating a well-connected and vibrant place to live, work and thrive.

In addition to housing, the LDA's ambition for Lissenhall is to create a high-quality, mixed-use neighbourhood with the facilities and amenities needed to support future generations. This includes opportunities for open and green spaces, walking and cycling connections, community facilities, local services and recreational amenities. The scale of the site also presents opportunities for sporting and leisure facilities that can support both existing and future communities. As plans progress, the LDA will engage with local residents, community organisations, sports clubs and other stakeholders to help shape the future development of the area.
