Hampton Demesne | Balbriggan
The Land Development Agency, in partnership with Ballymore and Fingal County Council, are pleased to introduce Hampton Demesne, a new residential development in Balbriggan. The scheme will deliver 259 A-rated homes in the initial phase, including a mix of 2-, 3- and 4-bed houses with private rear gardens.
Set within a well-connected part of Balbriggan, Hampton Demesne is a carefully considered new neighbourhood offering a high standard of contemporary living. Hampton Demesne delivers a crèche, a new park with recreational facilities for all age groups, and a local neighbourhood retail centre. The development will also be well serviced by cycle and car parking facilities.
All of the homes in this initial sales phase will be made available to eligible buyers through the Starter Home Purchase Scheme.

Am I eligible ?
- Be a first-time buyer.
- They may qualify if they are a ‘fresh start’ applicant i.e. they previously owned a home, but no longer have a financial interest in it because they are now divorced, separated, or their relationship has ended or they have gone through personal insolvency or bankruptcy.
- Their income must be below a certain level. This is calculated by multiplying a household’s gross annual income by 4. This figure is known as the candidate’s 'purchasing power' and it must then be less than 85.5% of the market value of the affordable home.
- A candidate cannot have more accumulated savings than the money required to cover the deposit for the home and an additional €30,000. Anything above this is added to their purchasing power. And, if this goes above 95% of the market value of the property they are not eligible for the scheme.
- A candidate must not have not previously bought or built a property to live in.
- They must not not own or have an interest in any property in Ireland or abroad.
- They must be purchasing the property as their home.
- They must have the right to live in Ireland.
Location
The town’s beach and coastline combine to create an outstanding public space to pause a while, or to take in the authentic experience of a working fishing harbour. Just a few minutes’ walk away from the seafront, Main Street and other leisure, cultural and tourism opportunities are close at hand.
A northwards walk along the beach, past the Martello Tower, brings Bremore Castle into view. A short drive south by car takes you to Ardgillan Castle, with stunning gardens and a sweeping vista out to the sea.
